The following books didn't make the cut

Some are quite good, but we feel like their content is covered in a better way by other books on the site.

Are You Smart Enough to Work at Google?

by William Poundstone

It's a fun read but won't bring you any real value.

Awaken the Giant Within

by Tony Robbins

Not a long book but for me Gary Vee & others "awaken" more motivation than this book.

Entrepreneur Revolution

by Daniel Priestley

Gary Vee's books are a better read if you want to read about start-ups or the likes.

Getting Past No

by William Ury

Not a bad book but The Art of Negotiating the Best Deal is a better follow-up to Getting to Yes.

Outliers

by Malcolm Gladwell

Might be worth the read depending on your goals. Outliers talks about how people like Bill Gates were very lucky and how they achieved success. Check out the book review here and decide for yourself.

Rework

by Jason Fried

It's a short book so don't let us stop you from reading it but it's basically a collection of tips & tricks for work. Most of them you should learn from our must reads.

Switch

by Chip & Dan Heath

Expected more of this one. Especially after reading Made to Stick which is a great book and a must read.

The Hard Thing about Hard Things

by Ben Horowitz

Not a bad book but no "wow"-feeling.

The Tipping Point

by Malcolm Gladwell

Gladwell talks about epidemics and how they work which is interesting but the Tipping Point doesn't bring enough value to justify the read in my opinion. Even though it's a short one. Decide for yourself after watching this Youtube-review.

The Upside of Stress

by Kelly McGonigal

Stress isn't as bad as you think it is. Watch Kelly's TED-talk instead.

The Way of the Superior Man

by David Deida

This book didn't inspire me like it promises so we don't recommend it.

Thinking Strategically

by Avinash K. Dixit

Game Theory 101 instead of business strategy 101. Must be better books out there.

Viralnomics

by Jonathan Goodman

A good book but Gary Vee has better tips.

Zero to One

by Peter Thiel

Same as Entrepreneur revolution.
